Overview
The GHSI750 series with a diameter of 3/4 inch and a rebound loop powered LVDT position transmitter launched by Macro Sensors is widely used for position monitoring, feedback and size measurement. This series of sensors are solid, sealed, and completely made of stainless steel, meeting the requirements of general industrial use. In order to resist various harsh environments, the coil winding is sealed and packaged to reach the protection level of IEC IP-68. The input/output connection passes through the seal axial joint. Butt plugs are supplied with the product.
The sensor has a spring shaft which moves in a precision sleeve bearing and is connected to the LVDT core. The measurement repeatability is 0.0001 inch (2.5 µ m) or higher due to the use of precision sleeve bearings. Apply a spring force of 6-20 ounces (depending on the total range) to maximize the probe shaft position. The contact end provided is AGD standard No. 9 contact end made of black oxidized hard tool steel, which can be interchanged with other 4-48 thread AGD contact ends.
Due to the LVDT technology, GHSI750 series transmitters have the characteristics of frictionless movement, high resolution, good repeatability and low hysteresis, plus the convenience and simplicity of pre calibrating 4-20mA current loop. Whether it is two-wire loop power supply or three-wire external power supply, the built-in electronic components allow a wide range of loop power supply voltage and loop resistance. The product is designed for use with PLC, digital indicator, A/D converter, computer based data processor and QC data collection system.
The sensor ranges range from 0.100 inch (2.5 mm) to 4.00 inch (100 mm). The maximum linear error of the best straight line obtained by the least square method is ± 0.10% of the full range output.
To facilitate installation, there is a 1/2-20 UNF 2A thread on the front of the housing. Users can use the matching threaded parts or two hex nuts attached to the sensor to install the LVDT, which is installed and used immediately to meet the needs of position measurement and longer range measurement.
